Palestinian Gunmen Caught, Shin Bet Says
Three Palestinians were arrested for involvement in a February shooting attack, announced the Israel Security Agency, or Shin Bet, on Tuesday, April 5.
The suspects allegedly fired at passing Israeli vehicles near Iskaka, a Palestinian village in Samaria that neighbors Ariel, on February 5. No one was injured in the attack and the suspects were caught four days later.
The three suspects—members of the Abed Aruri family, from the Arura village north of Ramallah—are Abdallah Tayseer Abed Aruri, 30, Hamadah Saleh Abed Aruri, 30, and Saleh Sabari Abed Aruri, 23. None of the suspects has a prior history of terror activity.
The weapons used in the attack have been recovered and indictments will be issued soon, the Shin Bet said.
The Shin Bet also announced on Tuesday that it arrested Amad al-Huli, 26, near the security fence of the Samarian community of El Matan with a homemade firearm and a knife.
From the initial investigation it appears that al-Huli set out to commit a shooting attack in the Jewish community, but changed his mind and was caught while returning home. Investigators believe that al-Huri was primarily motivated by a dispute with his parents over his broken engagement.

An Israeli woman was lightly injured while driving near Huwwara in Samaria. Stones were pelted at her car by Palestinian terrorists, and the car window was smashed. The same car was hit by rocks one week ago, smashing a different window that has not yet been repaired.
The driver was hit by glass shrapnel and was treated at the scene before she was transported to Beilinson hospital in Petach Tikva.
A border police force has captured and arrested two suspected rock throwers.
Jewish residents arrived in the area shortly after the attack to demonstrate and block roads in protest of the insecurity experienced by Jewish drivers.
Israeli and Turkish Officials to Meet on Thursday for Reconciliation Talks
According to reports in Israeli media, Israeli and Turkish negotiation teams are set to meet on Thursday, April 7 at a European capital to discuss normalization between the countries.
An Israeli negotiations team headed by Netanyahu’s representative Yossi Ciechanover will meet a Turkish team headed by Director General of Turkey’s Foreign Ministry Feridun Sinirlioglu, the reports said.
Israeli-Turkish relations were severely damaged after the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010 that resulted in the death of nine Turks. Turkey withdrew its ambassador from Israel and expelled the Israeli ambassador over the incident, and has since demanded that Israel apologize for it, compensate the victims and lift the blockade over the Gaza Strip.
Police Prevent Car-Ramming Attack, Arrest Palestinian in Stolen Car
The Judea and Samaria police released for publication that its policemen prevented a car-ramming attack on Sunday night, March 3.
During a routine check at a roadblock in the Binyamin region, the policemen stopped a car driven by a 23-year-old Palestinian from Ramallah. He had no driving license and was driving a car that had been stolen last month in central Israel.
He was arrested, and in his questioning admitted he was intending to carry out a car-ramming attack against IDF soldiers “because of the occupation of Palestinian lands.”
The suspect also said he was planning to become a “martyr”, and that he supports the Fatah organization (PLO). He is currently at the Ofer Prison.
